Blue is the result of a half brother and sister mating, doubling the blood of Sir White Moon. He is the result of the only attempt at that cross. His sire was 22 and his dam was 25 when he arrived. A "blue moon" is when 2 full moons occur in the same month and is a fairly rare occurance. Two Sir White Moon crosses with aged parents was also rare and so Blue was blessed with his name.

On a visit to Bint Al Bahr Arabians, I was captivated by the power and motion of the mare Almoraima Sarita. She was kind enough to produce Rabdan Al Bahr, who I put dibs on before he was born. Tragically, he died as a yearling. The following year she produced Bear, by Ibn Sabbah Bedu+//,and eventually Bear came to Destiny Arabians.

Bear passed away from a stroke while in Oregon under the loving care of Steve Langer & Terry Brooks. I wanted him to have the opportunity to replace himself within the Straight Babson Egyptian group. He had 2 seasons of Bouncing Baby Babsons on the ground for them. He is replaced with 5 SBE sons and 2 daughters.

Bear came from the same original source blood as the Pritzlaff' importation, but in a much earlier group. He both compliments the Babson bloodlines my horses carried, and also provided an outcross for the program while staying within the Sheykh Obeyd bloodline group.
